**Location - Sandwich, Kent**

**Salary - £11.50 per hour**

We have a unique opportunity in Sandwich for a Lab Steward to work for one of our clients.

You will be working full time, 8am - 4pm on a 6-12 month contract.

**Responsibilities**
- Managing laboratory glass wash activities
- Completing regular checks on critical EHS consumables, PPE, and equipment
- Receiving, receipting, storing, and shipping materials in accordance with global and local procedures
- Reviewing consumable quantities, requesting replenishment, re-stocking local storage
- Assisting lab workers with waste to ensure it is dealt with correctly, managing waste collections
- Performing regular checks on airhoods, local monitoring systems, spill kits with daily walkaround of area to ensure area is safe and tidy
- Other duties as deemed reasonable

**Skills and Experience**
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong team player
- IT competent, especially in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience of working in a lab
- An appreciation of health and safety requirements, risks, and prevention measures
- Experience of managing inventory through the supply chain
