Lahori Masala, a renowned restaurant specialising in authentic Pakistani cuisine, is seeking a skilled and passionate Curry(Karahi) Chef to join our culinary team. As a Curry Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking a variety of delicious dishes. You also will be responsible for BBQ marination. If you have a strong background in Pakistani cooking techniques, a deep understanding of different types of curry cooking, and a desire to create memorable dining experiences, we invite you to apply.
**Responsibilities**:
Prepare and cook a diverse range of curry dishes, such as chicken Karahi, Lamb Curry, Hareesa, Mutton Kunna and Haleem, ensuring high-quality standards and authentic flavours.
Good understanding of traditional Pakistani spices and ingredients.
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes as per customer orders.
Collaborate with the menu development team to create new recipes and innovative variations.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, following all relevant regulations and guidelines. A level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene will be preferred.
Manage inventory of ingredients, spices, and other supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed when necessary.
Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, handling multiple tasks and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
**Requirements**:
Proven experience as a Curry Chef or similar role, with a focus on Pakistani Traditional Cuisine and cooking techniques.
In-depth knowledge of operation, temperature control, Traditional Grill, and traditional marinades.
Ability to create authentic flavours using a variety of spices and ingredients specific to Pakistani cuisine (Lahori Food)
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes that exceed customer expectations.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities, working collaboratively with the kitchen staff. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the restaurant industry. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications would be an advantage.
