The Role:
Remote health assessment and telephone triage is at the forefront of patient care with significant development ongoing in this specialist field to equip skilled practitioners to provide first class clinical care for the people of Scotland.

You will work as part of the Ambulance Control Centre (ACC) clinical team to support the Clinicians working within the Clinical Hub to provide excellent emergency care to the patients of Scotland.

You will primarily be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Clinical Hub by supporting the clinicians including the Clinical Advisors, Timed admission Hub and future remote hubs and Clinical Support roles, focusing on staff welfare and facilitating staff to maintain and develop their clinical knowledge and skills. You will liaise with the Senior Clinical Support Managers to ensure live clinical support to all clinicians within the Hub and support the wider ACC - supervisors and duty managers

In addition, you will provide information to the wider health communities of Scotland for example GPs / Hospitals and other NHS organisations through the management of patient related enquiries via DATIX/ SEAR investigations providing clinical reviews and reports. Collating and analysing data to evidence change within the Clinical Hub and through the wider ACC

The Person:
You should have significant, demonstrable post registration experience, with previous experience in an ambulance service, acute or primary care setting. Previous telephone triage experience is preferable but not essential.. You should possess the drive and enthusiasm to deliver results within tight timeframes and have an understanding of the key issues and challenges facing the Clinical Hub within the ACC and wider SAS organisation. It is essential that you possess excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, organisational and analytical skills along with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads. You should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and have the ability to build, motivate, mentor and lead teams.

You should ideally have previous experience of stakeholder engagement, experience of managing people and have been involved in managing projects. Previous experience in

leading people through change is essential, as is ability to evidence this change through data analyse and reporting.

You must be committed to improving quality and standards of care, procedures, technology, and support cultural change. You must also be IT literate and possess a driving licence, as travel between sites is essential. This post has some unsocial working across a 7-day roster.
