ACS Group is looking for a Buyer to join our team in Shipley.

**Position: Buyer**
Contract: Permanent
Hours Full Time: 40 hours per week

The company continues to develop its brand to supply the best range of products to the market. It now has a unique opportunity for a buyer to join the company.

Responsible for ongoing management of buying to ensure optimal supplier performance and price. Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function is operating in line with the objectives of the business, to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts, contractual relationships, and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base. Work alongside senior management team in contributing to overall business objectives.

**Duties to include;**
- Overall responsibility for procurement and purchasing
- To Source suppliers and develop relationships to negotiate and buy products, to meet company’s demand.
- Supplier selection
- To developing procurement Strategy & Budgetary management.
- Supplier selection
- To negotiate costs and volume
- Responsible for managing relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate payment and delivery terms
- Seek and partner with reliable suppliers
- To source new and alternative suppliers and product lines
- To forecast demand for product lines

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
- Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets

**Salary**: From £28,500.00 per year
