We are a food company owned by Danish farmers supplying high-quality food to customers and consumers all over the world. From butchers to business developers, we are more than 23,000 colleagues, all committed to lowering our carbon footprint and becoming climate neutral by 2050, for better food and a brighter future.
**Area of Responsibility**
Issuing and analysing daily production plans (generated in Excel)
Receiving orders and updating forecasts
Ensuring site orders are within site capacity and forecast
Working closely with dispatch department to ensure stock matches expectations
Daily reviewing the forecast to ensure everything is in line
Maintaining relationships with commercials to ensure orders are in line
Updating daily plans
Achieving planning KPI's
Ensuring communication is maintained throughout all departments across site
Flexibility to cover other planners during holiday periods
Working closely with customers and ensuring orders are updated/amended in line with their requests.
responsible for making sure the schedule is followed during production, through to Despatch and end customer, receive regular information on progress and deal quickly with any problems, such as shortage of staff, materials and machinery breakdowns.
Review feedstocks daily to ensure we have the correct stock balance throughout the week.
Plan seasonal demand throughout the year, along with DK/UK shutdowns
**Specific Tasks**
- Creation/ maintance of production plans and re-issue to site wide teams.
- Knowledge of products to meet customer specifications.
- Review daily stock position to ensure plans have been completed and stock levels are correct.
- Responsible for clear and accurate documentation into factory and to Customer.
- Review and challenge Production performance.
- KPI Management and reporting for each area > daily report for plan attainment and send to Planning Manager, discuss any “Potential Risk’s” associated with any shortfall of plan completion.
- Collation and issue of collection & delivery schedule off site to supply intercompany demand and customer direct.
- Knowledge and understanding of factors which affect efficiency e.g. yields, labour costs, waste and service levels, ability to make quick, effective decisions.
- Promote development of planning systems through use of Excel and SAP, or any bespoke systems
Knowledge and understanding of supply chain - including requirements and expectations from intake through to processing, despatch and the end customer.
**Relevant Experience**
- FMCG Background would be preferred, but not essential
- Strong system knowledge and Customer based specifications.
- Strong team building, decision making, communication and social skills
- Strong effective team player.
- Ability to Multi-task and problem solve
Ability to work within a fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
**Educational Background**
Strong IT skills - Word and Excel and the ability to easily adapt to new systems/ packages.
