Head of Rural Accounting

**The Team & Focus of the Role**

We have an exciting & new opportunity for someone to join our Client Accounting team and be responsible for the day-to-day management of a growing team.

This role would be ideal for an individual who has a passion for developing their team, enjoys collaborating with clients to find solutions and who has a strong accounting background. Reporting into our Head of Client Accounting, this would provide a strongstep up or a rewarding industry move for an experienced people & finance manager. Property industry knowledge or experience is desirable but not required for this opportunity.

Our new Head of Rural Accounting will be based in Ashby however they should have the flexibility to travel to different offices as required or be commutable to the Ashby office at least twice a week. This is a full-time permanent position (Monday - Friday9am - 5.30pm).

**Duties will include**:

- Oversee the whole Rural client accounts team to ensure the team are growing and developing
- Ensure all RICS guidelines are followed
- Ensure all team are following accepted accounting procedures
- Instil common practices across all client accounts departments
- Review and where require implement change to accounting software systems and be able to implement multiple systems.
- Provide external client facing role to demonstrate what "good" accounting looks like
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
- Excellent technical accounting skills
- An understanding of property and ideally (but not essential) rural accounting
- A good working knowledge of propman or property management accounting systems
- Good management/interpersonal skills
- Great communication between internal & external stakeholders
- Ability to manage projects
