**Job summary**:
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) Procurement Team, lead on complex, strategic, high-value procurements which support the delivery of an array of high-profile government policy initiatives including Levelling Up the UK, combatting homelessness, Homes for Ukraine, Right to Buy and creating Safer, Greener Buildings. In addition, we support the internal corporate functions of the department e.g. Digital, HR, Finance, Communication and Research.

Two SEO Senior Procurement Advisor roles exists to enable delivery. These will involve working with policy and technical specialists from across the department. As part of a small dynamic procurement team, you’ll be involved in a variety of projects and manage procurements across the full range of size and complexity (above-threshold procurements to mini-competitions and sub-threshold competition).

**Job description**:
**Responsibilities include**:

- Compliant delivery of procurements in line with relevant procurement regulations including Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and using fully regulated procedures e.g. Framework call offs, open competitions.
- Providing sound procurement advice to policy leads on routes to market, contract management and delivering procurements ethically whilst driving value for money
- Leading and/or supporting a range of projects throughout all stages of the procurement life cycle
- Utilising and maintaining the procurement management system(s)
- Working collaboratively with Policy Teams, other Government Departments and Framework providers including Crown Commercial Services

- Ability to learn and adopt new digital systems and tools and ensure timely completion of all tasks
- Attention to detail

**Essential criteria**:

- Experience of managing high-value and/or complex procurement projects and contractual arrangements ideally within the public sector with successful Commercial outcomes
- Experience of successful management and delivery of multiple concurrent procurement projects
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders
- Knowledge of contract management activities
- Good analytical and written skills

**Desirable criteria**:

- Experience of end to end management of procurements via a variety of processes e.g. open competition, direct award and Frameworks
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or demonstrable equivalent experience. Willingness to work towards professional procurement & supply qualifications
- Completed or working towards completion of Foundation Level of the Contract Management Capability Programme (CMCP) training

**Technical Criteria**
- Experience of managing high-value and/or complex procurement projects and contractual arrangements ideally within the public sector with successful Commercial outcomes
