A vacancy has arisen for a full time Yard Operative / General Labourer. The role will involve the sorting and processing of incoming scrap metal, general labouring, as well as assisting customers and keeping the yard tidy and organised. You will help assist with the unloading and weighing of material and must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.

The role will require you to operate various scrap metal processing machinery, such as hydraulic balers and shears, etc. Full training will be given so experience is not essential, although knowledge of different metals would be advantageous.

The successful applicant must have a positive attitude, be health and safety conscious, be a good team player and have a hands-on approach. They must also have good customer service skills and enjoy working outdoors in all conditions in an industrial environment.

Full time position - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

28 days paid holiday entitlement (inclusive of bank holidays) increasing to 30 days after 3 years’ service
