Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with a company based in Birtley on the appointment of a Credit Controller and Rebate Administrator.

Key Duties

Credit Control
- Ownership and accountability for a defined portfolio of customers
- Allocate customer payments to sales ledger accounts
- Actively pursue resolution of aged debt balances via liaison with customer, line manager and/or other internal departments as required
- Escalate customer payment default and emerging problem accounts to line manager on a timely basis
- Dealing with customer queries, eg copy invoices and other documents, statements

Rebates
- First line of contact for customer rebate requests and queries
- Calculation of monthly customer rebates and associated review documentation for sign-off
- Raising credit notes on the system and scanning and filing of documents
- Ownership of customer rebate tracker and static data
- Reporting to customers (eg uploads to web portals)
- Periodic audits of rebate claims - Support implementation of new rebate system

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Experience of administering a credit control and/or rebate case load
- Pro-active communication with customers
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Analytical
- Engagement with internal stakeholders, managing approach accordingly
- Assertive
- Passionate about ‘cleanliness’ of debtors ledger and prevention/clearance of aged debts
- Problem-solving
- Curiosity and desire to challenge status quo
- Proficient in the use of Excel
- Initiative to pro-actively seek and chase improvement opportunities

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
