Buddies is a pet grooming salon based in a business centre in Stanway, Colchester, Essex. The business has been operating successfully for 6 years and offers spacious facilities, private purpose-built individual grooming booths and modern equipment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, friendly team with a mutual passion for animals. With over 40 years’ professional experience in the pet industry we are looking for a skilled dog groomer who shares our enthusiasm and energy for providing the highest standards of care, quality and service excellence.
- a Level 3 qualification certificate/diploma in dog grooming
- 2-3 years’ experience in handling pets in a professional grooming or pet care environment
- a high level of proficiency in grooming all breeds of dog regardless of size and temperament
- patience and attention to detail
- a self-motivated and positive attitude
- strong inter-personal skills and confidence in dealing with customers
- flexibility in helping with other tasks such as booking appointments, taking cash/credit card payments and general cleaning

The position is offered on a self-employed basis. Rates of pay are negotiable according to level of skill and experience. Hours can be varied to suit but must include Saturdays or Sundays.

COVID-19 considerations:
Customers are limited to one in the salon at any time and strict protocols are observed in handing over and collecting dogs. Social distancing, hand sanitisation, temperature checks, regular cleaning and perspex reception screen are in place.
