- This is a learning and development opportunity with full on the job training and support; you will join the current team of Customs Coordinators who are responsible for the collating of all information from our stakeholders, customs entry input and arranging payment of duties and VAT to HMRC to enable Customs release of consignment.

**Job Title**:Trainee Customs Coordinator -(A career learning and development opportunity)

**General Duties**
- Request customs clearance documents from customers prior to cargo arrival.
- To complete Customs entries on internal system and submit to HMRC
- Raise customer files, collecting and completing all documentation prior to release and/or delivery of consignment.
- Secure payment cleared funds for duty/vat prior to release and delivery of consignment
- To organise and arrange deliveries as per customer requirements.
- Processing and checking of invoices.
- Monitor uncleared entries on a daily basis.
- To file, closing cost and sales invoicing to be completed in a timely manner.
- Filing and archiving job files once completed.
- Liaising and cooperating with HMRC on queries.
- Maintaining customer relationships and monitor the quality of service they are receiving.
- General administrative duties

Educational Qualifications:

- Educated to A level or equivalent,
- GCSE Maths & English -grade C or above

**Experience**:

- No previous customs or office experience essential
- **1 years’ experience of working in an office environment -(*Desirable)

Knowledge:

- Proven level of accuracy and attention to detail

Skills and abilities:

- Strong administration and organizational skills
- IT Literate with a strong knowledge of Word, Excel and outlook
- Be able to work in a team
- Ability to multi task

Special Requirements:

- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast moving industry.
- Must be an enthusiastic and energetic individual with the desire to learn new skills.
- Flexible to work additional hours if required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year
