Monday-Friday, weekends may be an option. Minimum of 35 hours per week but the potential for more. Approx. 8 am-4 pm but hours will be confirmed by the contractor after successfully passing the Stage 1 & 2 Interview.

**What will the apprentice be doing?**

While all apprenticeships contain a fair amount of labouring, tidying of the work area, and tool fetching, P&D apprentices will also progress into the below tasks.
- Using brushes, rollers, or spraying equipment
- Laying dust sheets to protect areas from paint
- Preparing surfaces for decorating by filling holes and sealing cracks

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**

The qualification you would be working for is the Level 2 Painter Decorator (Standard) where we will be looking to partner with Multi Trade Training to provide the training.

This training will mainly be through remote learning with paid study time as needed up to 7 hours/1 day per week. You are expected to travel when necessary though most assessments will be done on-site. You will be responsible for managing/arranging with your line manager.

**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**

Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Painter Decorator where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior painter decorator position, site/contracts/project management, self-employment, or painting and decorating business owner.

You will be eligible for the Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card after the level 2 qualification
