We have an opportunity for a part-time Accounts Assistant to join a small family friendly manufacturing company based in Cannock.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounts role and must be proficient in Word and Excel.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- To provide general accounts and administrative support to Finance.
- Invoicing
- To administer the purchase and sales ledger along with associated tasks.
- Credit control
- Creating and issuing proformas
- Take receipt of statements and remittances, ensuring systems are maintained and documentation is accurately processed and filed.
- Assist with financial reporting where necessary in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain finance records required and ensure they are up to date and accurate.
- Answering the telephone and dealing with customer queries
- Meet and greet visitors

Ideally, you will have:

- An accounting qualification, ie, AAT level 2/3
- A working knowledge of general accounting procedures and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of accounting software ideally Pegasus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to prioritise workload, remain composed and level-headed during periods of particularly busy activity, and being proactive in helping other members of the team.
- Very good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
- A flexible approach to work with a “can do” attitude.

This is a part-time opportunity based at our offices in Cannock and there is flexibility with regards to the days/hours worked per week.

You must already live a commutable distance from the office in order to apply.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
