To carry out appropriate training in line with the Company's standards and according to Health and Safety Legislation for all new employees or temporary works as well as providing ongoing retraining as required by the Company and to maintain the associatedrecords.

1 To carry out your duties in a safe and compliant manner adhering to Policies and Procedures at all times.

2 To plan, arrange and provide the appropriate training to both employees and temporary workers to an acceptable standards and in line with Company standards. The scope of training includes is not limited to but includes vehicle operating instructions, reversing,manual handling, driver/vehicle assessment, drivers CPC, wheel torquing.

3 To record all training onto a matrix and maintain the same to ensure an accurate record is maintained at all times and in line with Company requirements.

4 To ensure all training expiry dates are identified in sufficient timescales to carry out retraining as appropriate and with limited disruption to the Business.

5 To maintain ongoing knowledge of appropriate internal Health and Safety campaigns and ensure these are effectively communicated around the Business unit.

6 To produce new or review and carry out toolbox talks as required and ensure records are kept and maintained.

7 To provide support with the review of road risk assessment and update as appropriate and provide retraining to crews as required. Ensure records of training are kept and maintained.

8 To provide collection crews with support, guidance and awareness in carrying out their roles in a safe and compliant manner and in line with company policies and procedures.

9 To review all training related documents and update as and when required

10 To initiate, support and promote methods to improve good work practices.

11 Support the development of staff. Assist with reviews of training requirements and the provision of on-going training and development opportunities where required.

12 To support with vehicle accident investigations

12 To produce training reports as required by Line Manager

13 Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role and at other locations as required by the Business

Here's what we require:
Education / Qualifications:
Secondary School relevant GCSE / CSE

LGV 2 Driving Licence

IOSH Managing Safely

Training accreditations

**Experience**:
In a training environment

Delivered training to large groups of employees

Technical Knowledge:
IT Skills - Microsoft Office

Good understanding of transport and construction and use legislation

Waste collection vehicles

Knowledge of and health and safety legislation

Skills and Behaviours:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Excellent 1-2-1 skills and ability to fully engage with larger groups

Ability to deliver training in an effective manner

Excellent organisational skills

General:
IT literate - comfortable using business software and systems

Good time management skills and working on own initiative

Ability to be flexible with working arrangements to maximise training opportunity without impacting on service levels Experience of working within waste management sector
