Job Description: Trailer Driver for Caterham Sports Cars

Position Overview: As a Trailer Driver for Caterham Sports Cars, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and transportation of vehicles and related equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently transport Caterham sports cars and other automotive components to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the company's reputation for exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Transportation: Safely load, transport, and unload Caterham sports cars and automotive components using specialized trailers and transport vehicles. Ensure all vehicles are securely strapped and protected during transit to prevent damage.

Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices. Conduct routine inspections of the trailers and vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Report any maintenance issues promptly.

Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes for deliveries, considering factors like traffic conditions, weather, and distance. Optimize routes to reduce travel time and fuel consumption while maintaining on-time delivery.

Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork, such as delivery logs, inspection reports, and customs documentation, if applicable. Maintain records of deliveries and ensure all paperwork is filed appropriately.

Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with the logistics team, dispatchers, and other relevant personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.

Customer Service: Provide a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and clients during deliveries. Ensure the smooth handover of vehicles and address any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

Vehicle Care: Conduct basic maintenance tasks on trailers and vehicles, such as refueling, cleaning, and minor repairs. Keep the trailers and transport vehicles in a presentable and operational state.

Adherence to Industry Standards: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices related to transportation and vehicle handling. Comply with all relevant laws and safety guidelines governing the automotive transport industry.

Qualifications:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements to operate commercial trailers.
- Proven experience in driving trailers or large commercial vehicles, preferably in the automotive transport industry.
- Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to read maps, use GPS systems, and plan efficient routes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet delivery schedules.
- Physical fitness and the ability to load and unload vehicles safely.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of Caterham sports cars during transportation.

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year
