Job description
Working with one the worlds leading metal distribution companies you will be working as part of a team that provides transport services nationwide. Your job will be to effectively route plan a fleet of HGV vehicles using VIGO planning software.This is a tempto perm contract via Rapier Employment
Salary:
£24,000 (increasing after a successful trial period)
Hours/Days:
Monday to Friday
0800-1700 (1 hour lunch)
Duties include:

- Coordinating transport solutions for internal customer
- Load schedule planning
- Forecasting data to manage future transport solutions
- Engaging with subcontractors and third-party suppliers
- Providing accurate shipment information
- Managing return loads
- Escalation of issues to senior management
- TRAINING PROVIDED

Experience/Skills Required:

- Transport planning experience (or similar)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Computer literate
- Experience in using transport route planning software (preferred)
- Be a good team player
- Be able to travel to and from the office in Wednesbury, WS10
