**Hewitt Farming - Drying Floor Operator**

Hewitt Farming is seeking a Drying Floor Operator to work as part of a team and to take responsibility for operating and maintaining our state of the art drying floor equipment to ensure the efficient drying and processing of various materials.

Duties will include-:

- Operation and control of the drying floor equipment to dry material to the required specifications.
- Monitor the drying process, making any adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal drying conditions.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth flow of material to and from the drying floor.
- Conduct routine inspections of the equipment and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure its efficient and safe operation.
- Keep accurate records of drying times, temperatures, and other relevant data.
- Identify and troubleshot equipment issues, Co-ordinating with maintenance staff for repairs when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the drying floor area and surrounding workspaces.
- Adhere to any safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience as a drying floor operator or similar role within a manufacturing or processing environment is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
- Familiarity with operating drying floor equipment and related machinery would be desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
- A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to preventing accidents or incidents.
