Ward Clerk

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Ward Clerk to join our surgical teams at Neath Port Talbot Hospital.

We have two permanent full time vacancies within our services; Ward E specialising in Orthopaedic and Spinal and Ward A specialising in Breast Care and Urology.

The post will involve working in a busy ward environment providing administrative and reception support to facilitate and ensure the efficient running of the ward area.

The post holders will require to have excellent communication skills, have a positive and flexible approach, be able to adapt to the continuous changes of the service and also enjoy working part of very busy teams.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To work as a member of the team providing an efficient and comprehensive clerical support service for the ward, thereby supporting the delivery of a high quality service to patients and staff within the Department.

The post holders will require to provide administrative support including admitting and discharging patients, booking follow up appointments, filing, ordering and keeping clinical systems updated.

Full in house training will be provided.
