If you hold a level 2 Child Care the nursery may be able to offer a level 3 Early Years Educator.

The Old School ensures the highest quality of care and education at all times by dynamic and reflective practice.

You will be planning and organising both fun and educational activities. You will be working as part of a small team. The role requires caring for all children's care needs, assisting with cleaning duties and preparing snacks.

We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with very young children and willing to learn all job duties and train to gain childcare qualifications.

To become an apprentice, you must:

- be 16 or over
- not already be in full-time education

You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.

As an apprentice you’ll:

- have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- learn and train for a specific job
- get paid and receive holiday leave
- get hands-on experience in a real job
- study for at least 20% of your working hours
- complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- be on a career path with lots of future potential

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience and get paid. You’re an employee with a contract of employment and holiday leave. By the end of an apprenticeship, you'll have the right skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career.

As an Apprentice you will be completing a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship StandardFuture Prospects 1- This vacancy is for a temporary position with the possibility of permanent employment within The Old School Children's Centre upon the completion of the apprenticeship programme.

- Good communication skills.
- Can use own initiative.
- Willing to learn.
- Willing to care for all children's care needs and assist with cleaning duties/preparing snacks.
- Willing to take direction from supervisor of the childcare room.
- Qualifications required 1- GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grades A*-C/9-4 are not essential but site would prefer you to hold these.

- Have professional attitude to work with children, colleagues, parents, and other professionals in the setting

- Things to consider 1-
If you hold a level 2 Child Care the nursery may be able to offer a level 3 Early Years Educator.
Role will include: daily paperwork, tracking children's developments, changing nappies, getting messy with the children and having a fun time.
You must ensure you have suitable travel arrangements in place to get to the place of work in a timely manner.
