Role Title: UX DesignerLocation: North WalesSalary: £45,000ROLE Reporting to the Head of Service Design, you will be working alongside a senior UX Designer as a pivotal part of the Customer web team. You will understand what our customers' preferencesand pain points are via research and use these findings to inform and improve the design of our product portfolio. RESPONSABILTIES Create user-friendly experiences from complex requirements and scenarios.Devise and generate user journeys from rough sketchesthrough to polished wireframes and prototypes to model the design of digital products.Own the wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes. This includes responsibility for upkeep and version control for use across the whole business.Collaborate with productowners, web developers, business & design analysts to understand both user and business requirements.Work closely with web developers to ensure designs are both feasible and achievable, advising on design issues and collaborating on ways to achieve efficientproductivity such as design systems.Be the advocate for the customer in terms of empathy, accessibility, perception. Observe or contribute to customer research - both online and face to face (when applicable), to test and iterate wireframes and prototypeswhich you have produced and gather useful insights for use in your next design iterations.Identify improvements to the current journeys, based on data, customer feedback and UX review -and competitor analysis also. SKILLS A minimum of 3 years working in a similar UX/UI role.User-centred design principles and processes are essential, and foremost. Attention to detail - you mustoperate with a 'fine-tooth comb' approach to work.Experience with design tools, particularly Figma and/or Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, and prototyping tools such as Invision or similar.Experience working with design libraries.Be both an innovative idea-generatorand a strong problem-solver, never afraid to air your thoughts.Responsive web design.Accessibility and inclusivity awareness - you are a considerate designer. Basic understanding and appreciation of digital interface build (HTML/CSS, etc).Knowledge and applicationexperience of design systems or style guides.Experience working in an agile environment, knowledge of Jira and similar job trafficking systems.You understand the importance of language in UX.
