Buyer

Our client, a small but rapidly expanding manufacturing business, seek to appoint a Buyer / Product Manager to work in their Product Team. Reporting in to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for identifying and sourcing electronic and mechanicalcomponents/products from the Far East to be used in UK manufacturing. This role would suit an experienced Buyer looking to change career or a junior Buyer looking for a new challenge to progress their career.
Buyer / Product Manager - Role and Responsibilities
- Negotiation of cost prices and appropriate margin
- Market research and price benchmarking
- Sales and Marketing planning and support
- Technical mechanical and electrical electronics knowledge
Buyer / Product Manager - Skills and Abilities
- BTEC/HNC/HND in an engineering discipline preferred. Knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical components and products required
- Far East sourcing experience useful
- Previous supplier management experience and strong interpersonal skills
- Commercial experience with strong negotiating skills
