As Lecturer in Radioactive Waste Materials, you will join our internationally leading, multi-disciplinary Department of Materials Science and Engineering. You will develop your own research area, working both individually and in collaboration with other academic colleagues, playing a key role in supportive delivery of a cohesive programme of teaching, research and other activities.

Through this appointment, we are seeking to further strengthen our research team in nuclear materials science within the civil nuclear fission fuel cycle, with a focus on ceramic materials manufacture and/or characterisation. You will have a proven track record, e.g. peer-reviewed publications, in synthesis, characterisation or modelling of solid-state materials relevant to nuclear fuel, radioactive waste management or actinide materials chemistry.
