We are currently recruiting for a passionate, motivated and talented Head Chef to join our clients' team at this prestigious site in Central London.
The catering department provides all aspect of catering and hospitality for three different areas at this site including events and fine dining as well as internal feeding with a breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
As the Head Chef, you will be working alongside the GM and managing a team of 6/7 chefs. The food is of a high standard and you will be creative and inventive with ingredients to ensure there is minimum food waste as well as create exciting menus for all areasof the business.
As there are numerous events and fine dining functions (canapés, formal dinners, 3 course meals etc), you will have good fine dining skills as well as the ability to produce volume for every day catering.
Working hours are 5 over 7 (occasional weekends)
- Be an existing Head Chef with a proven work background
- Ideally have worked within contract catering and hotels
- Be able to cater for volume on a daily basis as well as produce fine dining
- Lead, manage and motivate a team whilst working as a team player
- Be inventive and creative with menus ensuring minimum food wastage
- Be able to manage costs and budget
- Have an eye for detail and presentation
- Have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and remain calm
- Have strong communication skills and able to liaise well with colleagues as well as clients
- Be friendly and flexible with a positive can do attitude
