AWS Security Archictect - Fully Remote Working

12 month contract, Outside IR35, Fully Remote working

Your excellent knowledge of AWS technologies will enable you to work hands-on with our clients and help them tangibly improve their security by designing and implementing security enhancements into their environments.

**Required Skills**:

- Stakeholder management with experience setting cloud security standards and gaining buy-in at organisation or group level
- Consulting experience with good understanding of security tooling for cloud as well as security automation
- A broad range of AWS skills and deep expertise in many of the following technologies
- AWS Security Hub
- Security Operations Services (AWS CloudTrail, Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Inspector)
- Network Security Services (AWS Firewall Manager, Network Security Groups, AWS Shield)
- AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Amazon Macie
- AWS Key Management Service (KMS)
- AWS Lambda
- Infrastructure Design and Management (AWS CloudFormation, Amazon Elastic Container)
- Service (ECS), AWS Config
- A demonstrable experience in a similar role with a proven track record of successful implementations in client facing roles
- Self-motivator with a high attention to detail and care about delivering high quality work
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technically complex topics in an easy to understand manner
- Be comfortable when talking with a wide range of audiences

Desirable Skills:

- Familiarity with software development
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Sentinel, Defender for Cloud Apps, Key Vault, DDoS Protection, Compliance technologies such as eDiscovery, information protection technologies such as Azure Information Protection, and others
- Knowledge of well-known SaaS technologies such as SAP and Oracle
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C01)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (SAP-C01)
- AWS Certified Security Speciality (SCS-C01)
- Security experience in Microsoft technologies and previous experience as a developer and/or the aptitude for coding

Key responsibilities & duties include:

- Implement cloud security controls through AWS-native cyber security technologies
- Identifies and translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives.
- Advise on and optimise the configuration of client's existing security tools, e.g. AWS Inspector, GuardDuty and Shield, Macie, and others
- A strong understanding of how to reduce security vulnerabilities and configuration weaknesses regardless of the technology at hand
- Lead on the DevSecOps initiatives to ensure an integrated approach to security by working with internal and client development teams
- Provide technical support at all stages of the delivery lifecycle, including consultancy to stakeholders
- Capture and share knowledge and learnings within our engineering teams
- Build the documentation and automation scripts necessary for the security operations team to take appropriate actions
- Work with the Cloud Operations teams in the definition and implementation of security standards and best practices.
