**Hours**:Full time - 37hrs per week (part time hours will be considered)

**Starting salary**: £24,921.00 per annum

**Do you want to make a difference in keeping Hampshire and the Isle of Wight safe?**:
Our PSD (Professional Standards Department) is looking for an administrator to join their team. Your role will be to provide efficient and effective administrative support, including audio transcription, to the officers and support staff of the Professional Standards Department and the recording of dissatisfaction in line with national legislation.

**About the role**:
The key accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
1. To type confidential reports in respect of departmental and external investigations, additionally to type statements, notes and reports on behalf of Investigating Officers.

2. To transcribe taped interviews in respect of misconduct and complaint investigations and hearings or summary of salient points from taped interviews when appropriate.

3. To order stationery and printing requirements for the department.

4. To process all mail (incoming and outgoing)

5. To input and allocate dissatisfaction matters on to Centurion database and assist with the preparation and closedown of complaint, InBox, Miscellaneous files, standard documentation and general administration, as directed. Ensure the accurate population and maintenance of the PSD databases.

**About You**:
**Education and Qualifications**

Essential

Educated to QCF Level 2 to include Maths and English OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.

RSA Stage II in Typing/Word Processing or equivalent qualification

Desirable

RSA III in Typing/Word Processing or equivalent qualification in Audio Typing or previous work experience.

**Experience and Skills**

Essential

Proven experience in a clerical post. To be computer/keyboard literate and a competent keyboard user.

Desirable

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Experience of transcription of taped interviews.
