This is the time for action - we need to move at pace and reform our energy system - to deliver energy security, to tackle climate change and to protect our people.

The Balancing Programme is a team of around 25 people accountable for the ongoing delivery of energy balancing capabilities into the Electricity Network Control Centre (ENCC). These capabilities are at the heart of the ESO, enabling our Electricity National Control Centre teams to secure the GB electrical network and balance it in real-time 365 days a year while delivering for the end consumer.

Reporting into the Strategy and Engagement Manager, your role will be to support the creation, development, and execution of the team’s stakeholder strategy. Working with the Strategy and Engagement Manager and across the teams within the ESO you will support the strategic prioritisation decisions for all of the Balancing Programme, both what is delivered and how it is delivered.

Externally, you will support the co-ordination and delivery of engagement activities, building a rapport with our external stakeholders and ensuring the priorities of the energy industry are effectively managed as part of our strategy. Engaging with the industry and across the ESO will be key to ensure all customers and stakeholders are informed, can input and influence the process and understand how they are impacted from priority decisions made.

This role is based at our Warwick or Wokingham office which has free onsite parking, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

Leveraging this hybrid working, this team current work typically 1 day per week in the office, which is dependent on personal and business needs.

**What You'll Do**:
You’ll build a robust understanding of the drivers for change in ESO system operation and ensure these are aligned with customer and stakeholder expectations to determine and prioritise requirements.
Playing a central role in supporting the delivery of our stakeholder strategy and communications plan, you’ll ensure we deliver our plan, making improvements to our approach as you go, using your knowledge and judgement.

Communication will be one of your core attributes to internal and external audience across the programme. Specifically you will use your excellent communication skills to collate information packs to support various technical meetings as part of the Technical Working Group. Internally your main stakeholder group with be Markets and Network alongside I.T and product owners who interface with the ENCC to drive improvements and change.

Your input and decisions will help shape the process and decision making / prioritisation within the programme to deliver the best results and ongoing improvements.

**What You'll Get**:
**A competitive starting salary between £45,000 - £55,000** - dependent on capability.
