**Hours**: varied - typically four Friday or Saturday evenings per month.

**Pay**: Living Wage based on age.

The Horton Arts Centre is a growing not-for-profit venue for creative arts, heritage and events, in a renovated former chapel. It is run by a charity.

The Horton’s Café-Bar offers fresh and excellent quality food and drink. It is a social hub that also provides hospitality for our events and private hires that take place at the venue. We have been awarded the maximum award of 5 for Food Hygiene and Safety.

The Horton is currently open to the public 5 days per week 9.15-4.30pm Tuesday to Saturday, plus specific evenings for performances and events.

We are looking for a friendly casual bar worker to join our team. Must be over 18 years with bar experience.

**Job description**

**Principal duties - operational**
- Delivering a high quality and professional café-bar service for all customers.
- Operating till and cash handling.
- Complying with all relevant legislation and policies in relation to food hygiene, COSHH, health and safety and licensing.
- Following procedures for reducing energy consumption and correct recycling and disposal of waste.
- Being polite and confident in dealing with customers.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Undertaking such other duties as may reasonably be required.
- Exercising discretion and respect the need for confidentiality at all times.
- Maintaining The Horton’s high standards and reputation at all times.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 8 per week
