Van Driver

**Overview**
To successfully execute the delivery/collection of Company goods, with a flexible approach and a positive customer-focus. The job holder will enhance the Company reputation for incredibly professional service.
The Driver will participate in the effective and efficient running of the branch. This will involve the job holder to maintain the best level of service to both new and existing customers.
As a Driver you should be able to rise to any new challenges presented by our product mix. The job holder should be a passionate individual who can communicate effectively to deliver a professional service. Building trust with customers and suppliers is key, as is an eye for detail to investigate and resolve problems.
The job holder will be loading and unloading so there will be some lifting involved in the job.
Our working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 5.00 pm & every other Saturday 8.00 am to 1.00pm.
**Main Roles & Responsibilities**
**The Driver will be expected to perform any of the following tasks**:

- Ensure that the daily checking and reporting procedures regarding vehicle maintenance are completed.
- Ensure the safety and security of the load.
- Ensure customer service is delivered to a consistently high standard and be courteous to all road users.
- Adhere to the Working Time Directive for remote workers and to ensure the accurate completion of records.
- Ensure that goods transported arrive in good merchantable condition.
- Ensure customer service is delivered to a consistently high standard.

**Education/Qualifications/Experience**
Must have a good level of education e.g. relevant City & Guilds, NVQ, and/or equivalent qualification as appropriate for the role. Experience driving commercial vehicles and relevant experience of moving large goods between depots would be preferable.
A theory and practical assessment will be required
**Job Specific Skills**

- Full UK Category B Driving Licence (essential)

**Salary**: £22,300.00 per year
