Deputy Play Leader

Magilligan Community Playgroup - Deputy Playgroup Leader (Maternity Cover)

Job Duties:

- Help the Playgroup Leader in the various aspects of the playgroup activities including planning, assessment and recording keeping, health and safety, safe guarding, effective management of resources, parental involvement and develop best practice in pre-school provision.
Enhance the playgroup provision, develop and maintain all policies and procedures in line with current practice and legislation.
Liaise with the management committee and outside agencies as and when appropriate.
Provide induction and support to volunteers/students.

Criteria:

- Ideally, QCF Level 5 Early Childcare Learning and Development or equivalent or in the process of completing this qualification.

Desirable:

- BA ED Hons Early Childhood Studies.
Experience in the role of Deputy Leader or Assisant.
At least one years’ experience in a paid capacity in a pre school setting.
Experience of the Northern Ireland pre school curriculum.

Competency in ICT.
