Property Caretaker

We are currently looking for a Property Caretaker to join our Barnsley based client.

**Property Caretaker - Wombwell, Barnsley**
**£23,880 per annum**
**Mon to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (40 hours)**
**Permanent**

We are seeking a Property Caretaker for our client's Barnsley site. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, functional and homely environment that people can live and work in.

You must have general health & safety knowledge and basic DIY knowledge related to joinery, electrical fittings, plumbing and maintenance. You must have hold a full current clean driving license.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

**As a Property Caretaker, you will be required to**:

- Undertake and record checks on fire safety and fire prevention equipment
- Assist with cleaning or grounds maintenance tasks as requested
- Visually inspect electrical fittings regularly, log defects and process arrangements for repair
- Operate and maintain heating and hot water plant
- Monitor energy use
- Ensure outside buildings are maintained and in good order
- Ensure emergency repairs are dealt with speedily and effectively
- Manage and supervisor Assistant Property Caretaker
- Safeguarding

**What we required from a Property Caretaker**:

- Previous caretaker or ground maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of Plumbing, Heating, Joinery and Electrical
