The Role: Reporting to the Head Electrical Systems Engineer, you will have responsibility for execution of work packages and tasks within the companies main projects; relating to the design, development, prototyping and testing of electrical distribution systemsfor their products and technology. This will require a mix of practical and analytical skills and may include working off-site and with customers. Day to day activity will include:

- Design electrical harness system; including high and low voltage systems-Mechanical design and integration of the electrical subsystems including routing, fixing and mounting in a CAD environment - Liaise with the design, development, project management, commercial, prototype and production manufacturing teams, technical partnersand suppliers - Support R&D activities and the development of tools and identify process/method gaps for continuous improvement
- Investigating & trouble shooting any electrical problems, making modifications in electrical systems where required
What's required: - A solid understanding of whole system/product development cycle is essential
- Practical knowledge of ECAD (Electra E8 or Zuken E3) and MCAD (Solidworks)
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems delivery requirements, DFMEA, EDS design tooldevelopment
- Experience of full product life-cycle activities and ability to achieve cost, weight and technical targets within specified timescales
