**Position**:
We are looking for a Deputy Editor to join our team and be at the forefront of FoodNavigator’s digital expansion. You’ll be responsible for creating daily news stories and in-depth features for a food industry audience, covering topics such as cell-cultured meat and pioneering alternative proteins, emerging trends, M&A activity, e-commerce, and the impact of inflation on consumer behaviour.

Additionally, you’ll help build our multimedia presence with videos, podcasts, and articles, while also boosting our social media presence and supporting our webinars, online events, and in-person gatherings. As part of this role you will also be recruiting speakers, chairing panels, and interviewing industry experts on camera, via video conferencing platforms, and face to face.

**Responsibilities**:

- Produce high-quality multimedia daily content for FoodNavigator, proofread content from other team members, and publish newsletters when required.
- Stand in for the Editor when required to manage the daily workflow and interact with the wider business.
- Identify hot topics and contribute to the editorial calendar for monthly special editions and online events.
- Periodically moderate webinars and debates online and face to face.
- Attend key food industry trade events and conferences across Europe and occasionally beyond.
- Contribute expertise to brand extension activities, including face to face events and webinars.

**Requirements**:

- Multimedia journalist with experience in editing a digital publication
- Proven track record in journalism
- Exceptional networking, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in various social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram
- Thrives in a collaborative environment, bringing creativity and a proactive approach to the team
- Imaginative and strong sense of initiative
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Well organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines
