Mechanical Inspector

**Primary purpose of position**
- Dimensional, mechanical, and visual inspection of components produced by injection moulding, manual milling and tool making section using the required sampling and measurement techniques.
- Correct processing and documenting of nonconforming / reject product and materials.
- Correct processing and documenting of findings on appropriate paperwork.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Complete first off inspection reports for new items where required.
- Establish and develop new procedures when necessary for the functions of Mechanical Inspection activities.
- Liaise with the injection moulding section as required.
- Co-ordination and delivery of all passed inspected parts to the correct departments.
- Give support to all production issues relating to the quality of product or process and raw materials.
- To be prepared to undergo appropriate training as identified by the Company.

**Person specification**
- Must have product knowledge and be able to accurately interpret engineering drawings
- Must be able to use an extensive range of measuring equipment
- Must be familiar with quality control activities at both product and process level
- Experience in the use of all Microsoft Office packages
