Shipping Operations and Finance Executive

£24k-£26k per annum

Monday - Friday / 8:30am - 4:30pm

Our client based in the Deeside area is currently looking to recruit a Shipping Operations and Finance Executive to join their team on a permanent basis. Directly reporting to the Head of UK Operations and accountable to the Group CEO this is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a rapidly growing company, an integral part of an international Group with the UK Team headquartered in Deeside. This position presents a remarkable opportunity to be an integral part of an exhilarating company in its early stages, where you will not only contribute to its growth but also gain invaluable insights into the world of recycling and international shipping.

**Performance Objectives**
- Accurate data entry of received invoices into Xero, including approvals for payment and submission for payment to the Finance team.
- Oversight and involvement in the development of our new SAP system, scheduled to launch in January 2024. This role will encompass all aspects, from procurement to shipping.
- Oversight and management of UK haulage, international container planning, and paperwork.
- Additional responsibilities as the role develops.

**Person Specification**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Numeracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with either SAP, XERO or similar finance software for financial data processing, costing, or finance reporting is advantageous.
- Understanding of shipping booking and paperwork for container export out of the UK.
- Previous experience in the above-mentioned is a plus, although full training will be provided.
