**Finance Assistant Role Available**

Are you seeking your next position within a busy finance department?

We are currently supporting a large public sector organisation in their search for a Finance Assistant within the costing and capital.

This is a contract role that will initially last until the end of May 2023 with potential extension beyond it, it will be based in the West Yorkshire area on a hybrid basis with home working included.

**Duties**:

- Responsible for preparing data for input to key systems and subsequent input where directed
- Responsible for the production of regular reports from key systems
- Responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of key systems
- Responsible for reconciliation of key systems to ensure the integrity of data and outputs is maintained
- Assist in the production of information to support decision making
- Inputs and manipulates financial data into computer databases and spreadsheets where speed and accuracy necessary
- Input and manipulate financial data in line with national standards
- To support the development, maintenance and integrity of costing systems
- To support regular updates to the costing model to reflect changes in service provision and to ensure the costing model is accurate
- To assist in reviewing the quality of data provided or received into the costing system
- To support the collection of non-financial data required that is not already collected via the Information Team from departments across the organisation that will enable costs to be apportioned appropriately

**Required experience**:

- NVQ Level 3/Relevant Maths, ICT and English qualification
- Competent user of MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Accurate and rapid keyboard data input
- Able to deal effectively with frequent interruptions
- Able to plan and manage own workload to meet internal and external deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills
