**Responsibilities**
- Support sales, customer success leads and services implementation teams to design payment solutions, in support of the whole sales process.
- Quickly become the authority on client needs, current product offerings and industry best practices.
- Provide market insight and contribute to the development of product strategy for each of our services.
- Be responsible for overcoming technical challenges in deploying and integrating OpenConnect services into customer environments.
- Support the sales team with insight on current product market fit, maximising reuse of current capability and minimising bespoke or one-off changes for individual customers.
- Validate customer propositions with internal teams and clients.
- Build strategic working relationships, internally and externally, at executive and working level
- Act as a trusted advisor to our clients in respect of our payment services and proposed solutions.
- Multi-task and execute effectively under pressure for sustained periods
- Deliver training, demonstrations, and one-on-one customer sessions, in collaboration with sales, product managers, and engineers.
- Throughout the sales process represent the current capabilities of our existing service set, shaping solutions aligned to our roadmap.
- Shape customer problem statements in the context of broader market need
- Negotiate and influence on behalf of our sales strategy features for inclusion in our roadmaps
- Deep dive and perform discovery on new client requirements and current operating environments, conducting periodic walkthroughs with supporting functions as the sales cycle progresses
- Liaise with third-party client vendors to inform end-to-end solution design (where integration with 3rd party is customer specific requirement and not part of standard product)
- Own the production of all client-facing solution documentation, taking input from internal teams as necessary.

**About You**
- Extensive experience at a senior level within the card or other electronic payments fields, ideally working for a payment services provider, technology vendor or payments consulting firm
- Experience architecting and delivering high-availability, scalable, secure and performant enterprise-level payment gateway/management solutions in either an acquirer or payment services provider environment
- Payment card industry knowledge including understanding on PCI-DSS, PA-DSS and P2PE
- Understanding of software development in an agile environment, technology and consulting practices
- A positive work ethic and excellent initiative and leadership skills
- Strong communication, critical thinking and negotiation skills
