Horan Power Engineering provide operational control and technical advisory roles to their clients which involves a high volume of client requests on a daily basis. These requests must be managed in a timely, efficient manner and communicated to both the client and in house engineers to ensure they are dealt with in line with the customer’s request. This will be the primary function of this role but will also involve various other administrative functions as detailed in the responsibilities below.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

- Checking, logging and managing through to completion, work requests from clients
- Taking phone calls on the control room and communicating to engineers accordingly
- Answering the telephone as a first point of contact and to meet and greet all visitors and guests to the office
- Pro-actively contribute to the identification of priority tasks each day
- Assist in the preparation of adviser/client meetings/training courses
- Assist in the preparation of ongoing service reports
- Booking travel needs as and when
- Document control (desirable)
- Scheduling appointments and coordinate meetings
- Devise and maintain office systems/procedures, and to work on projects
- Update and maintain the database and other software
- General administrative tasks to keep an efficient workflow through a busy office

Essential Skills:

- Must have operational control (desirable) and administration experience, including the ability to draft paperwork, process data and report on data in a confident manner
- Hold the ability to be able to work on an individual basis and manage your own workload and priorities effectively
- Must be able to confidentially deal with customers
- Must have excellent computer skills and be able to work on MS packages, including use of Word, Excel and Outlook including inhouse systems
- Must have good attention to detail
- Ability to follow processes
- Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and confidentiality
- Well developed organisational skills
- Excellent and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to work towards deadlines and time management skills
- Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally
- Flexible
