**Swift Temps are working with an industry leading client in Walton Summit Preston and are currently looking to employ a Purchase Ledger Clerk.**
- **This is a temporary role for 1 month **_
- **2 days per week Monday - Thursday 9am-5pm**_
**The Role;**
**Job description**
- The administration of the customer and supplier ledgers, including importing invoices, posting receipts and processing payments
- Liaising with customers and suppliers
- Raising and posting sales and purchase credit notes
- Daily banking functions including bank reconciliations
- Importing bank payments onto online banking software
- Supplier statement reconciliations using Excel
- Liaising with internal staff regarding accounting transaction queries
- Other duties as required
**Required Attributes**
- Sound experience in purchase ledger
- Strong demonstrable knowledge of SAGE 50 & Microsoft Excel
- Computer literacy
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English
- Have good numeracy skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to deal with high volumes of work and manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A willing and able attitude
- Desired Attributes
- Trained in the principles of book-keeping
