What will this role achieve?

This is a vital site role reporting into the UK&I Experience Manager, managing the deployment of our colleague Engagement programme. Your wider team will be other EX Leads based at our other sites, while your colleagues at site will be your day-to-day teammates; you will engage with a wide range of site partners from site Leadership team, first line managers, employee representatives, to corporate colleagues and external visitors.

You will also ensure alignment with other areas of the HR function such as Learning & Development (L&D), Reward, Recruitment and Occupational Health & Wellbeing (OHW), working to enhance the employee experience across the full employee lifecycle.

This is a full time site based role

What will be your key deliverables?
- Working with the UK&I Experience Manager, support further development of the regional Engagement strategy, plan, and roadmap
- Accountable for the delivery of the Experience agenda at site
- Drive and champion the annual site engagement survey, identifying trends and working with site on action planning and driving progress
- Maintain analytics to measure and assess success and continuous areas of development within the strategy and plan for Engagement
- Work with the Site Leadership team in a champion capacity to continuously support their cultural change journey
- Role model the pladis winning traits and behaviours (WTB's) and bring fresh thinking to site to support all colleagues in developing and exhibiting WTB’s
- Maintain network of contacts within the communities where the site is based, driving social connections and CSR opportunities within the local community
- Establish rapport with key partners, ambassadors, and site colleagues to ensure that our approach is built from within and is optimally embedded into the site
- Work closely with L&D and other partners i.e., OHW, Recruitment and Comms, to build a fantastic employee experience into the employee lifecycle
- Lead creative thinking around the design and rollout of actions to support colleagues' financial and social wellbeing at work
- Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion action plans to create a sense of belonging across the site, building a culture of inclusion where all colleagues feel able to be themselves
- In partnership with OHW, support the ambassador group to build their capability and confidence to achieve improvements in delivery of the health & wellbeing agenda
- Manage site communications to ensure the most appropriate channels are being utilised ensuring clear, consistent messaging is shared at vital points in time
- Actively listen and act as a point of conscience for the site leadership team to drive progress and continuous improvement

Essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, engage, influence and empower to actively drive forward the engagement agenda through others
- Proven experience of working in a HR environment and associated understanding of interconnections / drivers of Employee Engagement / Employee Life Cycle
- Passion and drive to challenge the norm to help create a better work environment for all colleagues
- Ability to build respected, trusted and supportive relationships with key partners
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills
- A personal desire to continuously learn and develop to ensure new practices and thinking are understood and accepted

Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
- Specific Employee Engagement Qualification
