Forklift Driver

This is a cross-functional role as Forklift Driver and Final Packing Operative to cover colleagues across the two areas.

**Forklift Driver**
- Hold a full Forklift truck license and be confident operating and manoeuvring a reach truck in confined areas.
- Loading and unloading curtain sided and refrigerated vehicles.
- Carrying out pre-start checks on the trucks.

**Stock & Inventory Control**
- Maintenance of Stock Control systems thereby providing accurate and timely information from all internal and external stock holding areas
- Manage the locations of stock within the stores area

**Final Packing Operative**

The Packing Operator is responsible for operation of area machinery and equipment as well as palletisation of product to highest standards of food production and health safety.
- Operation of case & pallet shrink wrappers and label printers in a hygienic and safe manner.
- Palletisation of cases in specific pallet configurations as per company procedures.
- Complete packing records arcuately and in full.
- Ensure all non-conformances are reported immediately to the Team Leader or Quality Manager.
- General hygiene tasks in the area ensuring the company’s ‘clean as you go’ procedure is adhered to at all times.
- Complete the operator training plan to ensure an understanding of the final pack process and a good understanding of the machinery involved.
- Operator asset care duties with general maintenance of final pack area machinery and equipment.

This work involves varying amounts of lifting and manual handling, therefore a good level of physical fitness is required.

Own transport is essential due to our countryside location (AB51 8US).

Various shift patterns available over 40 hours per week. These positions are offered on a permanent basis.
