Welder / Fabricator / Alloy Aluminium And/or Steel

MIG / TIG Welder / Fabricator who has experience welding and fabricating metal in either steel or alloy / aluminium is required for a well-established company based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.

**WORKING HOURS**: 07:00 - 15:30hrs, Monday to Friday (with the option for overtime during the week) - NO weekends

Working as the MIG / TIG Welder / Fabricator you will join a company that enjoys a well-respected position with an unbroken history spanning more than 90 years. With manufacturing sites in Scunthorpe and Wisbech the company manufactures quality tipping trailers and tipping bodies for their construction and agriculture customers.

If you have alloy welding skills, you will be building truck and trailer bodies. If you have strong steel welding skills, then the company have chassis work for you.

The work is varied, so not only will you be welding, but you will also be fabricating some parts and often using your own initiative as many of the products are custom built for customers.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the MIG / TIG Welder / Fabricator you will have the following skills based on your steel or alloy / aluminium welding and fabricating experience:
Skilled in welding steel horizontally and vertically to work in the chassis shop building chassis and the new range of steel bodies

The ability to weld 2 - 12 mm alloy in all positions would see you in the alloy body shop

Both roles need fabrication skills and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Strong spoken and written English with excellent timekeeping, positive attitude and the ability to work independently

If you also have electrical or hydraulic experience, the ability to weld stainless steel and can safely use an overhead crane and/or forklift, this will set you apart
