**Head of Estates (Public Sector)**

**VANRATH** are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an **Head of Estates.**

**Responsibilities**

The Head of Estates is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the Estates function to ensure buildings, facilities and learning environment are safe, effectively maintained and fit for purpose, and provide an excellent experience. The Head of Estates will also be responsible for the effective and efficient provision of catering and facilities management services and acting as the Client’s contract manager for the proposed major new builds as well for other outsourced contracts.

**Requirements**:
**Essential Criteria**
**Qualifications and experience**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- At least two years’ experience of estates planning, project management and/or building maintenance at a senior level to include:

- managing a multi-site, geographically dispersed estates function;
- managing an estates function with a budget in excess of £3m.
- leading a team of professional, technical and administrative staff.
- Evidence of working in effective partnerships at a senior level with professional teams, advisors and suppliers.
- Sound understanding of the legal and financial aspects of major property projects and transactions.

**Remuneration**
£50,000 - £53,00 plus discount benefits.

**Salary**: £50,000.00-£53,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ballymena: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Property Management: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
