**Weekend Transport Supervisor**

We are currently looking for a Weekend Transport Supervisor to join our expanding transport department. Reporting to the Head of Transport and working closely with the week Transport Supervisor, you will play an integral part in ensuring that the operations of the transport department run efficiently and effectively on a day-to-day basis. This position is for Friday through to Monday, 40 hours a week.

**What you’ll do in the position**
- Create and execute the daily transport plan; manage the drivers/resources efficiently to maximise operational output.
- Maintain compliance by monitoring driver compliance, reporting requirements and driving forward continuous improvement.
- Plan and optimise transport fleet.
- Provide high levels of customer service.

**What you’ll need**
- Previous industry experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of planning; experience of planning software in a transport/logistics environment would be very advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a sound geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Working knowledge of driver hours regulations.
- Ability to motivate a team and to aid communication within the department.
- A CPC would be desirable.
