**A role for a dynamic negotiator with buying experience in meat**

Established over 40 years ago, this foodservice business has big plans to grow. Offering over 5,000 products across fresh, prepped, speciality, artisan, chilled and frozen categories, their teams are passionate about food. Innovative thinking through the ever changing foodie landscape has contributed vastly to their reputation for placing lifelong customer relationships at the heart of everything they do.

As a result of business expansion, we are now seeking an experienced meat buyer who will support and manage key suppliers across the category, assuming responsibility for sourcing, negotiating and optimising procurement activities.

**Key objectives;**
- Ensure cost effective procurement of quality produce
- Build strong supplier partnerships, managing relationships with key suppliers

**Key duties;**
- Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing and quality
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing
- Play a proactive role to drive efficiency
- Work collaboratively with the wider team
- Develop departmental KPIs

**Key requirements;**
- Breadth & depth of purchasing and negotiation experience in meat
- Influencing capabilities
- Project management capability
- Experience of successfully delivering results in a dynamic environment
- Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships

**Salary**: £45,000.00 per year
