**Housekeeping Assistant**

**Part time 20 hours**

**Shift Pattern: 4 x 5-hour shifts**

Ardgowan Hospice is currently looking to recruit a part-time Housekeeping Assistant on a permanent contract to work within our busy housekeeping team.

The post holder will provide a high standard of cleanliness in compliance with Statutory Standards and recognised Safe Practice. You will work across both Hospice buildings, prioritising in-patient and family areas, and also support Hospice shops and other departments with housekeeping supplies. You will work within Hospice policies, guidelines and procedures, recording cleaning programs and other information as necessary, to ensure excellent standards of cleanliness are maintained.

A flexible outlook is required in order to provide a seven-day service across the Hospice. Shifts will include mornings and afternoons, with rotas posted around one month in advance.

The successful applicant will have knowledge of the relevant work procedures and practices in relation to Infection Control and Health & Safety. You will also have housekeeping experience and good communication skills. The ability to work together well as part of a team and independently is essential.
