**Site Supervisor**

**Civil Engineering**

**Location - East Kilbride, Scotland**

**An exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Scotland working on a portfolio of civils infrastructure and rail civils and building projects throughout Central Scotland.**

**Business Unit**

A busy and fast paced project and maintenance environment involving in a range of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects, working for a varied range of clients including Local Authorities, Network Rail and Environmental.

Projects can typically include civil engineering works and infrastructure projects such as:
Highways & Roads, underbridges, overbridges and footbridges, tunnels, flood alleviation & repairs, earthworks & embankments and rail platforms and station infrastructure etc.

We currently have a number of live infrastructure projects and long term renewals and maintenance frameworks underway including Civils Asset Management (CAM), Renewals Enhancement Framework (REF) and a Slabtrack framework.

**The Role**

As Site Supervisor you will have the responsibility for planning and implementing the successful delivery of our civils infrastructure projects as well as rail buildings and civils projects throughout Scotland at various locations throughout the region. Day to day duties and responsibilities will typically include but not be limited to:

- Ensure that works are executed in accordance with the requirements of:

- All applicable legislation
- The Terms and Conditions of the contract
- The Contract Health and Safety Plan
- The Contract Quality / Environmental Plan
- Approved Works Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets
- The approved Construction Drawings and Specification
- The Policies and Procedures contained within the Company Business Management System
- Ensure that all company Health &Safety, Environmental requirements and initiatives are implemented.
- Produce and brief method statements and task briefings to all reporting personnel
- Delivery of works within programme and to budget.
- Ensuring that Quality standards are achieved and are ‘right first time’
- The promotion of a continuous improvement culture and the use of best practice.
- The continuous monitoring of the progress work orders to ensure contract objectives are being met.
- Ensure that, changes to the scope of works are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
- The provision of formal reports on progress to the Project Manager/Site Agent.
- Ensure that robust records are maintained i.e./ diaries, allocation sheets, plant etc
- Procurement is managed to the required specification and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all relevant issues, which cannot be resolved at site level, are passed for the attention of the Project Manager / Site Agent.
- Leadership, supervision and monitoring of Direct and Subcontract Labour Force
- Report any unsafe practices.
- Daily White Board Brief.
- Point of Work Risk Assessment
- Brief Task Briefs.
- Deliver Toolbox Talks.
- Allocation sheets.
- Contribute to planning works on a daily basis.
- Plan efficient use of resource.
- Site Diary
- Weekly SHEQ.
- Close call reporting
- Other tasks as may from time to time be deemed necessary and are authorised by line managers.

**Requirements**:
To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Site Supervisor in a rail and civil engineering environment.
- PTS
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- Experience as a Site Supervisor in a civils contracting environment.
- Experience in rail working on civil engineering associated projects
