Akasaka is a fusion Korean & Japanese kitchen located in Central Milton Keynes and Northampton. We pride ourselves on our fresh ingredients and delicious sushi flavours.
We are currently looking for friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic people to join our kitchen team in Akasaka Northampton.
**Responsibilities**:
- Supporting line chefs
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Flexibility to take on various shift.
As a cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meals that are prepared with care. **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.00-£11.77 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
