Senior Ornithologist

**Who are we looking for and why work at Natural Power?**

We are looking for a Senior Ornithologist to join our growing Onshore Ecology Team who are based at various locations in the UK and Ireland. We are a forward thinking, collaborative, dynamic and professional team who encourage individuals to maximise their potential and enable individuals to contribute towards the success of the Consenting & Environment Department. This is an opportunity to contribute to renewables projects, and work with a wide range of specialists from within Natural Power.

The role will involve:

- providing ornithological technical expertise and advice to clients and colleagues, including mentoring junior staff;
- design of ornithological survey schedules;
- preparation and review of ornithology chapters for Scoping and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs);
- preparation and review of Habitats Directive Appropriate Assessment reporting; and
- management of ornithological projects including survey resourcing/logistics, financial tracking etc.

There is scope for the position to be home based, however an ability to visit our Stirling or Glasgow offices on a regular basis would be beneficial.
