We have a fantastic opportunity for a Multi Skilled Trades Person at Doncaster Council. This is a Full-time role for the next 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

**What is the role?**

Doncaster Council’s Housing Services Team are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Trades Person to carry out basic repairs and maintenance service across of domestic properties in the Doncaster area in both private and local authority housing.

Carry out adaption work to disabled people’s homes in order to make their lives easier, this includes door widenings, removing and rebuilding walls (in block or stud), installing level access shower facilities (wet rooms).

**What are your responsibilities?**
- To renew/repair internal and external doors and frames and fittings.
- Renew/repair of gates and posts and fittings, renew/repair of wooden windows and fittings and associated work.
- Repair of timber flooring including floor tiles, skirting boards and associated work, fixing stairs / staircases, Kitchen Units and worktops including fittings, plus wood fencing and posts
- To carry out repairs/renew garage doors including all fittings.
- Carry out general internal joinery duties including renewal and repair of bath panels and frames, pipe boxing, skirting boards, curtain rails, ceiling tiles, wall boarding, studded walls Grabrails architraves and mouldings including all internal fittings.
- To carry out general external joinery duties including renewal and repair of timber mouldings, Barge boards, Claddings, Facia boards, Gutters, Soffit boards and glazing

**What skills do you Need?**
- Previous experience as a Multi-skilled trades person, ideally working for the Local authority
- Must have skills in Joinery / Plastering / Minor Plumbing / Bricklaying and Tiling
- Ability to use IT systems and record information accurately.
- You will need to hold a full driving licence and be comfortable driving a work van.
- Must be physically fit and healthy, as you will be required to lift heavy items.
- Valid DBS on the Update Service
