Canteen Assistant

To assist and support the canteen team in maintaining a high level of customer service and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Assisting with meal preparation & cooking duties.
- Serving customers & operating the till.
- Daily cleaning of kitchen areas, equipment and utensils to ensure a clean,

hygienic environment for the preparation, storage and safe handling of food.
- Maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Follow Workplace Health & Safety Practices to ensure that the canteen and equipment is operated and maintained in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Record keeping.
- Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by your line manager.
- Food Safety qualification an advantage but can be provided.
- Adaptable & flexible approach to working.
- Able to work under the demands of a busy canteen.
- Able to think and act on your own initiative.
- Be a team player and assist your colleagues.
- Capable of communicating with all levels of staff.
- Friendly and polite manner.
- Catering/hospitality experience desirable.
